EDO Eduardo Sanabria: I always try to find a language that goes beyond the simple fact of caricature characters . I draw much of what pop , cubism , from figurative ; mix all that and start to experiment with bright colors. Picasso was a great cartoonist . He embodied their vision of a face. That is my search too. Find a way to show my vision about a person or situation. The people sees in many ways my work (mainly Pop) . I want to give a fresh air when you see my work and make it their own with different interpretations.

Noor Blazekovic IRREVERSIBLE Founder Publisher Curator: When and why each character takes form?

One way to reconnect with this vibrant and cheerful country that is Venezuela .

Noor Blazekovic: Caricature it is the briefest and sharpest way of stating a criticism. From the very beginning, it aims to address the audience to the lacking and improper parts of society. Which is the most important part of stating criticism in your work? And what role-plays in society at large?

EDO Eduardo Sanabria: As a cartoonist , I have the duty to show the critical side of a society through my work. I have been more than 20 years publishing my works of humor in the press of Venezuela . At the same time , I studied graphic design and that helped me to explore in a parallel way the world of arts and bring it to the caricature.

Noor Blazekovic: Irreversible Projects Art Monaco 2015? Tell us about your relationship with the IRR Projects? Being a non-conventional platform for artists what is your experience? What work will be part of the exhibition?

EDO Eduardo Sanabria: For me it is a great opportunity to show my work beyond my country. I am grateful that IRREVERSIBLE let me show the other part of the caricature that is more than a mere exaggeration of some physical trait. Each character can take me weeks. From pencil sketch to final print in Gicleé. I, as an artist i´m happy that such talented people look at me and open me the door to exhibit my art in places that otherwise would be very difficult to reach up them.

Thank you EDO!
