Quilted Paintings: All I See is Beauty. I tell stories by stitching quilted paintings, using thread and fabric instead of paint. I create imagined scenes as vignettes that invite viewers to reflect and ask questions. For over thirty years, I worked as a scientist and truly enjoyed it. In 2015, I had to leave my career because of neurological issues. Recovering took time, and making art became an important part of my healing.
I quilt snapshots of everyday scenes. The colours and patterns of the fabric pieces often inspire what I draw on top of them. I am a self-taught artist living and working in Miami, Florida.
